The third group are deaths that are related to medical procedures, whether diagnostic, therapeutic or palliative.  These include deaths that occur during the procedure as a result of the procedure or where any aspect of the procedure played a contributory role in causing the death. Where you are unsure, it is best to contact the forensic pathologist and discuss the case with them.
